Former Miss Argentina Dies In Vain

Her friends said Solange Magnano, 38, a former Miss Argentina had everything. However, she apparently did not think so.
Solange Magnano died from complications after undergoing a gluetoplasty, a cosmetic surgery to tighten the buttocks. She underwent the surgery on Thursday, but was rushed back to hospital on Friday. She died of a pulmonary embolism, after three days in a critical condition.
Magnano had won her Miss Argentino crown in 1994 and the mother of eight-year old twins.
A fashion designer and close friend of Magnano revealed that the procedure involved injections. It appears the liquid went to her lungs and brain.
“She only underwent the procedure because she thought it was no big deal,” said Guillermo Azar, another associate from the fashion world and also a close friend of Magnanos.
Firm Buttocks From Gluteoplasty
Juan Carlos Seiler, former president of an Argentinian association of plastic surgeons, has queried whether the doctor who performed the procedure might not have been a real professional from an ‘approved’ cosmetic surgery centre.
Many film stars and models are opting for Gluteoplasty to make their figure firm and to get in better shape. However, surgeons strongly recommend that women should consult only professional surgeons for Gluteoplasty and other cosmetic surgeries.
Gluteoplasty is the recent beauty trend among women. It is a surgery in which fat is transferred or enhanced in the buttocks through injecting different hormones. After facial surgeries and breast surgeries, Gluteoplasty is probably the most adopted cosmetic surgery. But the beauty does not come without pain.
Around 50,000 plastic surgery procedures were performed in Argentina in 2008 – a 60 per cent increase over 2003, with a growing number of foreigners seeking inexpensive cosmetic enhancements, accounting for much of the increase.
